shadows

there is no light where i am

no air to breathe

no space to live

n im not free to go where i can

bounded in myself

tied down by my will

blinded by my logics

n rendered helpless by my intellectual skills
suffocated n exhausted
dark, empty, dreadful n numb..
shadows of my existance
where my life had ended
n chapters of my cruel past had begun
i look around this shadow
to dig deep n find for me
n although i find none
this is where i have to be
shadows  can never b d sun

हर रोज़ जब यह काली रात भीतर से निकल कर बाहर आ जाती है
जाने कितने दर्द, जाने कितने टूटे ख्वाब तारों की तरह अपने दामन मे लपेटे हुए
चमकते रहते हैं जो, रात की मुस्कान बन कर
मै चान्द की तरह उसी रात के अन्धेरे में रोता रहता हूँ बिलकता रहता हूँ तड़पता रहता हूँ
अपने होठों पर एक अधूरी सी मुस्कान लिए
क्या खोया, क्या पाया, क्या बाँटा, क्या कमाया
हर लम्हे, हर एक पल का हिसाब करती मेरी ज़िन्दगी
जाने कब तक मुझे यों ही रौंधती रहेगी, जाने कब तक हिसाब लेती रहेगी मुझसे
मेरे बीते कल का
उन वायदों का जिनका ज़िक्र भी अब ज़हन को गँवारा नहीं
जिनकी आह अब तक कानो में गूँजती है
याद दिलाती रहती है पल-पल
चमकते टिमटिमाते तारों का, जो कभी मेरे मन की ताक़त हुआ करते थे
जो आज बस आँखों में एक स्थायी दर्द बन कर बहते रहते हैं
